Besan : Gram Flour

Besan is a pulse flour made from a type of ground chickpea called gram chickpea. It is something you   can  find in your Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi and Nepali cuisines.                                                           Nutritional value per 100g : Gluten Free : In recent years it has got popularity across the world as a Gluten-free product. It is the perfect solution for the people who loves to eat wheat rotis or chillas but are sensitive to gluten. Source of protein : It is a good source of protein. 100gm of chickpea flour provides 20gm of protein which plays an important role in weight management.  Glycemic Index : GI in gram flour is 6 which slows down the process of breaking down food into sugar which helps decrease the blood sugar. Chickpea flour may regulate your hunger harmone "ghrelin" but some research is still needed to explain its effect. Wonder Face Masks :  Besan and Haldi face mask: A paste can be prepared with yogurt or dahi with a pinch of haldi.
